Mary Kay’s Message:
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a passion for developing people. I’ve been fortunate to chart a professional course that’s supported this love through traditional higher education classrooms and less conventional means, such as workforce development, leadership training, and consulting.
My foray into learning and development started in graduate school. My personal drive for education sparked an interest in supporting others and led me to the halls (and virtual classrooms) of colleges and universities, where I developed and presented coursework specific to healthcare management.
Over the years, I’ve become increasingly more interested in non-classroom development, where consulting work gave me the chance to dig into leadership development, talent management, and change management projects with organizations like Lockheed Martin, American Red Cross, Career Technology Centers, and Penn State University.
In my quest for education, I recently completed my Doctorate in Business Administration, which has given me an even stronger understanding of business operations and strategy, which pairs well my experience working in talent and leadership development, adult education, and consulting.
I’m excited to say all of the above has culminated perfectly into my current role as the President of Pole Star’s new consulting arm. We’re deploying best-in-class advisory services to support robust talent solutions for clients working to reach their human capital goals. From cutting-edge technologies to custom knowledge management systems, change management strategies, and lean methodologies, I’m bringing years of business, education, and leadership development experience to help our clients transform teams, technologies, and business.
I look forward to helping you realize your organization’s full potential by maximizing your greatest asset: human capital.
