More About the Engine
We have a home on the Credential Engine Registry™
Credential transparency empowers everyone looking for education and training options with the data they need to make a well-informed decision, enables employers to better evaluate the value of a credential’s ability to meet business needs, and allows organizations that service stakeholders to provide clearer information about the value of a specific credential.
The registry has been designed to help users search, discover, and compare credentials to meet their specific needs. Employers find information on both the candidate’s skills and qualifications as well as the education and training program’s quality and validity. It provides everyone with a better understanding of how credentials and careers connect to best prepare for the current and emerging workplace.
At PSEL, we concur with Credential Engine’s mission to bring transparency and literacy to all credentials in the marketplace. The registry houses common, searchable, and comparable information about all credentials – from diplomas, badges, and certificates – to licenses, certifications, and degrees. The use of the registry benefits everyone by having access to critical data when needed to make important decisions about education and career choices.
