PoLe Star Experiential Learning's Competencies have a home on the Credential Engine Registry™

Credential transparency empowers everyone looking for education and training options with the data they need to make a well-informed decision, enables employers to better evaluate the value of a credential’s ability to meet business needs, and allow organizations that service students, workers, employers and other stakeholders to provide clearer information about the value of various credentials.

Through transparency, we help credential users search, discover and compare credentials to meet their needs, employers find both the workers and the education and training programs that meet their needs, and allow everyone to understand how credentials and careers connect to best prepare for the current and emerging workplace.

Credential Engine’s mission is to bring transparency and literacy to all credentials in the marketplace. To fulfill that mission, we have built a cloud-based Credential Registry, which is designed to house common, searchable, and comparable information about all credentials – from diplomas, badges, and certificates to licenses, certifications and degrees of all types and levels. By using this Registry, students, credentialing bodies, employers, and more will have access to critical credentialing data needed to make decisions about both education and career. To find out more, please visit them on their website at  (www.credentialengine.org)

Transparency in the credential marketplace is important.

It helps with the following...

Finding  and comparing credential options.

Discovering the credential data needed to evaluate its ability to meet needs.

Analyzing how credentials connect to each other and to the larger credential marketplace.

Understanding the credential process more clearly, as well as related processes such as quality assurance.
